Dreaming With a Broken Heart

I'm on the final stretch... 4 and a half days down, 1 to go! Tomorrow at midnight I'll finish my 6 day juice cleanse. I plan on baking homemade cinnamon rolls :)

This week has been a huge test of discipline for me. I don't like finishing things that aren't fun. I am a quitter by nature (or by nurture, but that's debateable). All week I've been whining. Thanks to my tweeps for not unfollowing me! So far everyone has been so encouraging, and I so appreciate that. Thank you!

Anywho, while I've been whining, I've also been dreaming of food. Stuff like this:

pesto pasta...my very favorite kind. YUM!

My most favorite Skinny Taste recipe

More pasta. Yes it's my favorite.

Welp, I signed up for a half marathon last winter and I didn't train well and ended up being told by a cardiologist I shouldn't run it. So I didn't. I still regret giving up and not training better and I think about that as a failure all the time.

Last night I almost gave up on this cleanse. I was SO hungry and I did not want any more fruits or vegetables. (They're starting to make me nauseous I've had so many!) So I decided this will be my half marathon. I am going to finish, and finish strong.

Until next time my friends... I'll be dreaming of all this delicious food!!

Have you ever done a cleanse? How did you feel afterwards?

Wahoo! You can do this!!!! Super excited for you to finish this - and be able to eat whatever you want. I wouldn't be surprised though if after the first day or two you really crave more healthy foods.

You are so strong for doing this! Seriously. This is so much harder than a marathon!! I'm anxious to hear a full report once you're finished.

And! If you ever want to train for a marathon you should! There are so many apps available now that make it so much easier. I used to run 25 miles a week until I was diagnosed with a rare condition in my shins and now can't run at all. I miss it very much so I always encourage people to do it.

good for you! One time I did that cabbage soup diet/cleanse. It was unbelievably challenging but I did it and it was more of a discipline challenge for me than a health benefit I think - as most of those cleanses are temporary fixes. I am impressed with you! And you deserve a delicious meal after that!

I am SO in awe of you, your determination, and your strength this week! You did it!!!! I'm so proud of you and I know your body must feel amazing right now. Can you just make a couple more cinnamon rolls for me now???? I still need to get the strength to do this, maybe once I start feeling better.
You're an inspiration!

Pesto pasta is my absolute favorite as well! I'm sure my fiance gets sick of all the pasta I make for dinner ;)

Girl...you're determination and discipline for this cleanse is SO inspiring! And you did it! That's a hard thing to do when you're a "quitter by nature". I'm the same way! Me and endurance/will power are not friends hahaha
But good job girl! I hope you treated yourself to LOTS of goodies after you finished this weekend :)
